From Big Chief, an authorized Slide Products distributor, comes the Slide Products 42905PB Mold Shield Rust Preventive, 5-gal. Mold Shield has a unique, extra-dry spray package, which delivers a non-penetrating mist into ejector pin sleeves, slides, cams and other moving mold parts. There's no need to remove this rust preventive from the mold prior to start-up as it flashes off during production. It is a great solution for overnight and weekend storing of molds. If you prefer to use a cleaner, we recommend considering organic or hydrocarbon solvents. This special aerosol prevents marking of plastic parts when molds are put back in service. Mold Shield offers up to two years of protection during normal, indoor storage. Not only does Mold Shield displace water and condensation, it also neutralizes fingerprint or acid residues.
