Order the Slide Products 42910P Mold Shield Rust Preventive, Aerosol, 12-pk from Big Chief, an authorized Slide Products distributor. Mold Shield has a unique, extra-dry spray package, which delivers a non-penetrating mist into ejector pin sleeves, slides, cams and other moving mold parts. Mold Shield offers up to two years of protection during normal, indoor storage. It is a great solution for overnight and weekend storing of molds. This special aerosol prevents marking of plastic parts when molds are put back in service. There's no need to remove this rust preventive from the mold prior to start-up as it flashes off during production. Not only does Mold Shield displace water and condensation, it also neutralizes fingerprint or acid residues. If you prefer to use a cleaner, we recommend considering organic or hydrocarbon solvents.
