Tempco Cartridge Heaters
Thermal Devices is proud to offer Tempco Hi-Density and Low Density Cartridge Heaters. Hi-Density Cartridge Heaters are manufactured using a high purity Magnesium Oxide (MgO) powder as the insulating material. This insulating powder is compacted by swaging to increase the thermal conductivity and the dielectric strength of the heater. Benefits of this process are manufacturing high watt density heaters without sacrificing life expectancy. Low Density Cartridge Heaters are an economical alternative to using Hi-Density cartridge heaters in applications requiring lower watt densities and operating temperatures up to 1200ºF (650ºC).
Chromalox Cartridge Heaters
Thermal Devices is an authorized Distributer of Chromalox advanced thermal technology products. Durex Cartridge Heaters
Magnum™ cartridge heaters are swaged designs, made for use in applications where high watt density, high temperatures and long service life are critical to minimize mold service downtime and expensive press open time. The swaged construction produces a highly compacted cartridge heater that resists shock and vibration, while providing for maximum element life through efficient transfer heating. Magnum cartridge heaters last up to 20 times longer than uncompacted cartridge heaters. UL/CUL Component Recognition Available. Durex will also custom manufacture cartridge heaters to your specifications.
